Project Work with Al Manaar

Working with Al Manaar
There are a number of different ways to develop a working relationship with Al Manaar or tell the community about your project or work.

You are invited to learn more about Al Manaar by reviewing our website and in particular our vision, mission and aims set out in the “Profile” page; the Activities Leaflet and our Friday Newsletters, all available online before contacting us.

You may wish to email us a proposal of how you would like to work with us or tell our community about your project. This may include your proposal to work with a particular project or activity already taking place here each week at Al Manaar.  It may be most effective for us to put you in direct contact with a project leader, for example.

Our work relating to community engagement is listed in the Activities Leaflet. Community engagement work is usually ‘event-based’ rather than weekly. We usually announce an event on the website and you may wish to engage with organiser of the event to explore the possibility of being involved in that event.

Our communication with the community is based around our Friday Newsletter, notice boards at the Centre, the website, verbal announcements before the Friday Prayers, leaflets available at Reception and our in-house staff intranet.  You may wish to submit proposals for messages to be inserted in those media from time to time.

We welcome proposals for providing information sessions to our staff and volunteers at our monthly staff meetings.

Organizations wishing to take film or video footage or photographs either inside or outside the Centre and its environs are invited to submit a formal written request clearly explaining the organization they represent and the purpose and use of the images. Submission of a request does not guarantee acceptance or permission.  Our primary goal will always be, in the first instance, to protect the privacy of worshippers attending the Centre.
