Assalamu Alaykum,
At the Centre next Tuesday 16 February 2010 from 10am to 4pm the NHS will be offering free health checks.  You need to be resident of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and not diagnosed with diabetes, high cholesterol or high blood pressure, heart disease (stroke or heart attack) or kidney problems. Each health check takes about 30 minutes and involves some simple tests of your  

• blood pressure
• cholesterol (pin prick to your finger) 
• waist circumference
• height and weight
• carbon monoxide levels

 
The assessor will ask you a few lifestyle and family medical questions. At the end of the check the assessor will discuss your results with you and offer you guidance, support and may refer you to specialist services for further support and investigations.
