Basic Arabic & Qur’an Circle

We are pleased to be able to announce that continuing on from the work done during Ramadan, Brother Abdullah Sliti will be resuming the Basic Arabic & Qur’an Circle with a slightly modified schedule. The Circle will take place in the library on Saturdays, 7pm to 9pm and a Qur’an Reading Session in the Men’s Prayer room on Sundays from Salat-ul-Fajr until Sunrise.

This programme is for young men of the community, aged between 16 and 25 years of age. The goal is for people to (1) learn, read & write Arabic (2) learn & practice the rules of Qur’an recitation and (3) learn the basic Ebadat, manners and values of Islam.

After completion of the task of memorizing five Juz, students move on to classical texts in Arabic grammar, principles of jurisprudence, the science of hadith and creed. Those that do not know their Arabic alphabet will be taught it.

All are welcome to join these circles. Those interested should approach Brother Abdullah Sliti at the start of a session.
